We partner with talent and candidates to understand exactly what you’re looking for in your next role. When it comes to responsibilities, flexibility, work-life balance, company, and pay, no two people demand exactly the same thing. That’s why, like a custom-fit suit, our searches are tailored to fit YOU.
Phase 1: Introduction & Getting to Know You
We meet with potential candidates to get to know you and establish a relationship. We review your resume – if it’s perfect we leave it alone, if it’s not, we help you improve it. Often times, your resume is the first thing hiring managers and HR professionals see. It needs to grab their attention and make them want to learn more about you.
We then go over exactly what you’re looking for in your next role. Some people thrive in a demanding environment with lots of room for growth, others are perfectly fine with a predictable workload and the status quo day in and day out. We get that – there are roles for both types of individuals.
Some of the questions we’ll cover are:
- What level of responsibility are you looking for?
- How much flexibility do you seek?
- How much work-life balance do you want?
- Are you looking for growth opportunities?
- What industries, companies and type of corporate culture are important to you?
- How much do you want to earn?
Phase 2: Finding Your Next Perfect Job
Our search for your next role begins right away. We take what we learn about your search and dive into our network and resources to find roles that we think are going to be a great fit based on your criteria and what we know about the role and the hiring company.
Once roles are identified, we present them to you for consideration, and if you’re interested, we reach out to the hiring company to let them know why they need to talk to you. If there is a mutual interest, we then make a formal introduction and initiate the interview process.
Phase 3: Nailing the Interview
We work with you and the hiring company to schedule interviews for the days and times most convenient for all parties. Generally, the interview process consists of an initial phone screen followed by one or more rounds of in-person meetings.
We want you to do amazing at your interviews. Think of us as your personal interview coach throughout the process. You’ll do your part too, but we try to prepare you as best we can. This includes learning about the individuals you’ll be meeting with, understanding the role and the company, and identifying additional information that’s going to help you stand out from your competition. Prior to each interview, we’ll go over what we know with you and how to best prepare.
After the interview, we’ll debrief with you and the hiring company, and discuss next steps. This normally includes gauging the level of interest from both sides and seeing whether or not we progress to another round of interviews or get the coveted offer of employment.
Phase 4: They Made Me an Offer I Couldn’t Refuse
You nailed the interview and the company is ready to make you an offer. We’ll receive the offer letter and review the terms with you. Our goal is a win-win for all parties. If there are terms in the offer that are unacceptable to you, we’ll help you negotiate with the company and vice-versa while offering our input on what is realistic and what is not.
If all parties come to an agreement on terms, we facilitate the final official offer letter to be accepted by you and your new employer. Finally, we discuss and agree on an official start date and inform you when you can regretfully or happily give notice to your previous employer.
Phase 5: You’re My Lobster
You’re at your new company, things are going great, but our relationship doesn’t have to end there.
We’re around as a resource throughout your career. Reach out any time whether it’s to check your worth in the market, see how the industry is doing, or just to shoot the breeze when your other friends don’t want to talk to you. We’re here for you.
